Inaugural Port Chalmers Seafood Festival
Saturday 1st October
Sample the best seafood the South Island, and especially Otago, has to offer. With local brews (including Emerson’s) and regional wines to complement their seafood experience, festival goers will be able to enjoy fishing and filleting competitions, boat rides, cooking demonstrations and more.
Quality entertainment will be throughout the venue spaces with the headline attractions being David Kilgour & the Heavy Eights, King Leo and Radler, poetry from Sam Hunt and family competitions and games. The main venue is “A” shed on the wharf supplemented by marquees, so the festival will proceed whatever the weather. Ticket holders can travel to Port Chalmers by the free buses or by Taieri Gorge train.
